ORDER
With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.01.2024 seeking rectification and restoration of the classification as Ryothwari land which has been wrongly entered as Sarkar Nanjai in relation to Door No.14 Lakshmanamudali 2nd street Korattur Village Chennai-80 in S.No.1296/1B admeasuring an extent of about 1275 sq.ft.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4. The case of the writ petitioner is that originally the subject property has been purchased by one Santhanam in the year 1970, who in turn sold the 2/5
property to the petitioner in the year 1993. The grievance of the petitioner is that though property purchased by the petitioner is a patta land, the land was wrongly classified as Sarkar Nanjai and the vendor of the petitioner has already been issued patta to the said land. In this regard the petitioner has given a representation to the first and second respondents to rectify the said mistake and issue patta to the petitioner. However, no action has been taken by them till date. Hence the present Writ Petition.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the Commissioner Land Administration is the appropriate authority to pass Orders in this regard. Hence, the Commissioner Land Administration has been impleaded as the third respondent in this Writ Petition.
6. Considering the submissions on either side, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the third respondent within a period of 15 days from the date or receipt of a copy of this Order. On such representation being made, the third respondent shall set right the errors in TSLR and pass Orders on the same within a period of two months there after. 3/5
7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
