Prayer : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Vinayakar Chathurthi Festival and cultural and entertainment programme at Sri Veera Vinayakar Temple, Vadakadu, Kuravapuram, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District which is scheduled to be held on 13.09.2018 and adequate permission by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2018.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to grant permission to conduct the Vinayakar Chathurthi Festival and cultural and entertainment programme at Sri Veera Vinayakar Temple, Vadakadu, Kuravapuram, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District which is scheduled to be held on 13.09.2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that there is a Vinayakar Temple in Vadakadu, Kuruvapuram, Vedaranyam https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Taluk and the residents of the said village used to celebrate Vinayakar Chathurthi every year. Likewise this year also, they decided to celebrate Vinayakar Chathurthi with Adal Padal programme and hence, a representation was submitted seeking permission to the third respondent on 06.09.2018, but, so far, no order has been passed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the representation by the petitioner is still pending before the third respondent.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 06.09.2018 and pass orders in accordance with law and to inform the petitioner on or before 12.09.2018.

5. With the aforesaid observations, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
