JUDGMENT

(Delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.V.R.Kamalanathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that further proceedings would be withdrawn. The Collector would apply his mind to the show cause notice and the explanation given by the petitioner and would decide the show cause notice after considering the explanation of the petitioner.

3. In view of the aforesaid, the purpose of the writ petition stands served. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

4. Depending upon the decision taken by the Collector, the parties may take further steps. In that event, all contentions are kept open.

5. There will be no order as to costs. C.M.P.No.12089 of 2023 is closed.
