Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the order dated 21.05.2016 passed by the third respondent herein and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to run the Car Festival of Eraiyur Village Ulundurpet Taluk, Jebamalai Matha Church, by taking the Car procession through the Kurumbur Road upto Assist Hospital as agreed by all christians of Eraiyur Village, approved by Arch Bishop of Puducherry and Cuddalore, during the period from 21.5.2016 to 30.5.2016 to secure the ends of justice.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We are informed by the learned Government Pleader that meetings were held by the Revenue Divisional Officer in respect of the two groups and an amicable solution was found, with the result that the car procession was taken out peacefully. 2.Writ Petition has, thus, become infructuous and is, accordingly, disposed of. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.16096 of 2016 stands closed.
