ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 506(1) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 in Crime No.18 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused had cheated a sum of Rs.2,88,00,000/- from 35 persons, under the guise of getting them job in Central and State Government; that they have also issued fake appointment orders. Hence, this case 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the anticipatory bail to the petitioner reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that this case in Crime No.18 of 2025 was transferred from the file of the K4, Anna Nagar Police Station, Chennai registered in Crime No.119 of 2024; that this is the fifth anticipatory bail application of the petitioner; that further the petitioner is still absconding and custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much necessary for the purpose of investigation.

Taking note of the facts and circumstances of the case, the fact that this is the fifth anticipatory bail application of the petitioner and the earlier applications of the petitioner were dismissed on merits, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is evading surrender before the respondent police and continuously filing anticipatory bail petitions. Further taking note of the fact that the petitioner had filed this anticipatory bail petition on 02.04.2025 (i.e.,) immediately after dismissal of the earlier anticipatory bail petition on 27.03.2025 without waiting for a reasonable period and making out any change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Registry is directed not to number any further anticipatory bail application of the petitioner without obtaining leave of this Court. 6.

Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 07.10.2025 stn 3/4
