PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to implement the G.O.(Ms).No.293 Health and Family Welfare Department dated 18.06.2021, to enable the petitioner to get his monetary benefits as per the said G.O. every month from the date of issue of the G.O by passing orders on the representation dated 03.04.2023.

ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to implement G.O.(Ms).No.293, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 18.06.2021, to enable the petitioner to get the monetary benefits as per the said government order every month from the date of its issuance, by passing orders on the representation dated 03.04.2023.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even though the government issued G.O.(Ms).No.293, Health and Family Welfare Department, 2/5
dated 18.06.2021, granting revision of pay and allowances to the Medical Officers, the said government order has not been implemented by the respondent authorities till date. Seeking implementation of the said government order, the petitioner sent representation on 3.4.2023. As the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner was constrained to file this writ petition. He further submitted that ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.4.2023 and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.
3. Ms.R.K.Karthika, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, would submit that, if four weeks' time is granted, the respondent authorities will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.4.2023 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
4. Considering the narrow scope of the relief sought by learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.4.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date 3/5
