ORDER

This petition has been filed to issue a suitable direction to the respondent assign PR number to the petitioner's TAVERA car bearing Reg.No.TN-36-AZ-9749 seized on 08.08.2020 and consequently to deposit the same in Cr.No.1399 of 2020 pending on the file of the respondent. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent police has not assigned PR number to the seized vehicle belonging to the petitioner which was allegedly involved in the commission of offence in a case registered in Crime No.1399 of 2020 and also not produced before the concerned Court.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that already confiscation proceedings have been started and a show cause notice was also issued to the petitioner and therefore, no orders are necessary in this petition and the respondent police are taking consequent follow up action in accordance with law.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that already show cause notice was issued to the petitioner, no further orders are necessary in this petition. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 01.09.2020 Internet:Yes Index:Yes/no gbi To
