ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for direction, directing the second respondent police to conduct preliminary enquiry in CSR No.124 of 2020 pending on the file of W-7, All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar. 2.

Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that on receipt of the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 31.07.2020, the second respondent conducted enquiry in CSR.No.124 of 2020 and the same was closed on 25.08.2020.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that no enquiry was conducted on the complaint lodged by the petitioner. Even then, the second respondent closed the complaint on 25.08.2020.

Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a private complaint in the manner known to law, if so advised.
