O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 31.07.2020 and as a consequential relief by directing the first respondent not to disconnect the E.B.Service Connection No.246-261-391 pertaining to Door No.1/10, Mukkanai Amman Kovil Street, Periyar Nagar, Trisulam, Chennai - 600 043.

2.The case of the petitioner is that there is property dispute inbetween the petitioner and the sixth respondent and under the apprehension that the electricity service connection would be disconnected, the petitioner made representation to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking not to disconnect the electricity service connection pertaining to the subject property and since the same has not yet been considered, has filed this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, without going into the merits of the case, this Court may issue direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2020 and to pass appropriate orders, after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as the private respondents.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that already the petitioner instituted a suit in O.S.No.415 of 2019 as against the sixth respondent and the same is pending before the District Munsif Court at Alandur.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2020, on merits and in accordance with law and after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as the private respondents, pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/4
