Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct enquiry and pass Orders on merit based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 03.102022 and consequently mutate TSLR in the name of the petitioner family for the property situated in T.S.No.426 to an extent of 0.33 cents in 2nd Ward, 10th Block, Tiruvannamalai District, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct enquiry and pass Orders on merits based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 03.102022 and consequently mutate TSLR in the name of the petitioner family for the property situated in T.S.No.426 to an extent of 0.33 cents in 2nd Ward, 10th Block, Tiruvannamalai District, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner filed a suit in O.S.No.176 of 1999 for partition and the suit has been decreed and final decree has also been passed in favour of the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given a representation to the first respondent to cancel the TSLR in the name of the respondents 3 and 4 and as per the 2/4

communication sent by the first respondent, the second respondent also conducted enquiry, no action has been taken by the first and second respondents in this regard. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first and second respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.10.2022 and pass Orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
