Mr.P.Senthil Kumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 24.08.2016, wherein and whereby he sought for survey of the land referred to in the said representation.

that it is for the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, also after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants, if any.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, only with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking for survey of the land and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if no order is passed already. No costs.
