Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and third respondents to issue fresh patta in favour of the surviving legal heirs of A.N.Ramasamy by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner on 06.03.2025.

ORDER
By consent of learned counsel appearing for both parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct respondents 1 and 3 to issue fresh patta in favour of the surviving legal heirs of one Late A.N.Ramasamy, by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 06.03.2025.
3. It was submitted that earlier, a writ petition came to be filed by the petitioner's brother-in-law, Indiraraj, in W.P.No.3353 of 2001, seeking a direction against the Tahsildar to consider the representation dated 08.08.2000, submitted by Indiraraj, for Page No.2 of 6
transfer of patta, which stood in the name of Late A.N.Ramasamy. Pursuant to the orders of this Court in the above writ petition vide the order dated 22.02.2001, the Tahsildar passed an order directing the patta, for the lands comprised in S.F.No.26 and S.F.No.28 situated in Ganapathy Village, to be transferred jointly in the names of Late Ramasamy, Ranganayagi, Soundararajan, Indiraraj and Premavathi, who are the surviving legal heirs at that point in time.

It is submitted by the petitioner that more than twenty four years have passed since the above directions, but the patta has still not been transferred to the legal heirs of Late A.N.Ramasamy, some of whom have died and survived by their legal heirs. The petitioner has now taken out a representation to the respondents dated 06.03.2025 for issuance of fresh patta in favour of the surviving legal heirs of Late A.N.Ramasamy. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to issue fresh patta in favour of the petitioner.
5. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the third respondent would consider the representation dated 06.03.2025 and issue fresh patta, Page No.3 of 6
in favour of the surviving legal heirs of the Late A.N.Ramasamy, after putting the petitioner and all other interested parties, including the legal heirs of Late A.N.Ramasamy, on notice and after affording all the parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing, the third respondent would pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the uploaded copy of this order, which is accepted to by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
6. Recording the aforesaid submissions, the present writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. It is made clear that this Court has not dealt with the merits of the representation submitted by the petitioner and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
