Prayer :-Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the Village Panchayat President of Kollumedu Panchayat, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District under Section 205(b) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act based on the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2015.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record. By consent of the learned counsels on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to remove the fourth respondent from the post of President of Village Panchayat under Section 205(b) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that pursuant to the complaint, action was initiated and the District Collector has also directed surprise check to be conducted and it is stated that no irregularities have been found. However, to this effect there is no written order passed by the second respondent.

4. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the second respondent to take note of the petitioner's representation and inform the petitioner in writing as regards the action taken, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
