Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the second respondent in connection with Na.Ka.No.H1/76318/2000 dated 20.06.2002, quash the same and issue consequential directions to the respondents herein to promote the petitioner as Middle School Headmaster as per the order of the promotion panel issued by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.H1/76318/2000 dated 28.11.2001 with all monetary benefits as prescribed to the Middle School Headmaster scale with effect from 28.11.2001.

ORDER

Mr.K.Manivannan, challenging the impugned order passed by the Special Deputy Collector, Kallar Reclamation, Madurai dated 20.6.2002 bearing Na.Ka.No.H1/76318/2000 cancelling the promotion panel, filed O.A.No.5491 of 2002 before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal seeking to quash the same with a further prayer to give him promotion as Middle School Headmaster in the then existed vacancies in the second respondent-School as per the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

order of promotion panel dated 28.11.2001. The said original application, having been transferred to this Court, has been renumbered as the present writ petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up, Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, stating that the petitioner was given promotion to the post of Middle School Headmaster on 2.5.2003 and again further promotion to the post of High School Headmaster on 6.6.2008, submitted that nothing survives in the writ petition.

3. This Court, recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents that the petitioner has been given promotion on 2.5.2003 as Headmaster of Middle School and again further promotion to the post of Headmaster of High School on 6.6.2008, closes the writ petition as infructuous. No costs.
