O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Respondent to investigate into the cognizable offence registered in FIR No. 217/2015 dated 25.02.2012 and file a final report within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint against one Sathyanathan, Purushothoman and Sampath for the alleged offence under sections 419, 465, 468 & 471 IPC and the same was registered by the respondent police in Crime No.217 of 2015. Though the complaint was registered on 25.02.2012, no action was taken in the said complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that since the investigation involves lot of documents to be verified, it would take sufficient time for the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.217/2015 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
