ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the classification of the subject property as "Adi dravidar Kudiyirupu" from the revenue records and issue joint patta in the name of the petitioner and others, who are the legal heirs of late Dr.Pugazhendhi.

Heard M/s.M.Rebecca, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 6.

The petitioner is placing reliance upon the earlier order passed in WP No.17075 of 1997 dated 11.07.2000. According to the petitioner, this order has become final. Thereafter, the original owner viz., Dr.Pugazhendhi died and the petitioner and others have inherited the property. Since the classification continued in the revenue records as "Adi Dravidar Kudiyirupu", a representation was made seeking for the removal of the classification and for issuance of joint patta. On receipt of the representation, the 1 st respondent has forwarded the same to the 5 th respondent through communication dated 11.03.2025 seeking for a report. Thereafter, there was no progress and hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 3 rd respondent to get the necessary report and to pass final orders based on the representation made by the petitioner on 21.02.2025 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
