ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner's son was granted leave for 28 days without escort for the period between 14.03.2025 and 10.04.2025, through orders of this Court dated 07.03.2025 passed in W.P.No.4937 of 2025. We had considered the petitioner's request for leave to her son based on her claim that she had some medical ailment and that her son had to arrange funds for her medical expenses, in spite of the fact that the Probation Officer had not recommended for grant of leave.

2. In the present writ petition, it is claimed that the prisoner's daughter has severe infection, for which, she is required to take treatment for 10 days as inpatient. Therefore, the petitioner seeks for extension of leave for her son/prisoner for a further period of 15 days.

3. We are not convinced with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Further, there is no provision under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules for extension of ordinary leave.

4. In view of the above observation, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
