Coimbatore - 641 012. ...Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the order passed by the second respondent in Lr.No.SE/CEDC/N/CBE/DFC/AO/Rev/AAO/HT/A.2/F.Talent Alloys/15 dated 16.07.2015 in respect of H.T. Service Connection No.180, and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to restore service connection and to accept the Power Consumption Charges being the arrears for the months of February to June, 2015 in monthly installments payable by the petitioner together with belated payment surcharges.

The petitioner is having Iron and Steel Mill at Karegoundenpalayam, Annur, Coimbatore.
They have got electricity connection viz., H.T.SC. No.180. Due to dull
business and the outstanding dues by the customers, the petitioner company could not pay the current consumption charges for the months of September and October, 2014. A sum of Rs.58,48,402/- was due and hence the respondents disconnected the electricity service connection.
Due to financial constraint, the petitioner seeks restoration of electricity connection on payment of Rs.10,00,000/- and the balance amount in 10 monthly instalments.
2. Heard Mr.G.Vasudevan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Rameshuwar, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. Though, it is contend that a sum of Rs.58,48,402/- is due by the petitioner, the respondent would submit that a sum of Rs.66,35,350/- is due apart from the belated payment charges.

Taking into consideration the fact that there are 120 workers are employed in the petitioner's company and the financial constraints, it is appropriate to restore the electricity service connection on payment of Rs.10,00,000/-. The balance amount is directed to be paid by the petitioner in 10 monthly instalments without fail. The C.C. charges as applicable will also liable to be paid by the petitioner. The monthly instalments should be paid on or before 10th of the every English Calender month and default of payment will lead to automatically for disconnection.
