O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the 1st respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 29.08.2018 and to return the petitioner's driving license.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's license has been suspended by the 2nd respondent by an order dated 13.08.2018. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the 1st respondent on 29.08.2018. Now, he has sought for disposal of the aforesaid appeal expeditiously.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is working as a Driver in the Transport Corporation and he was suspended for the period of six months from 18.08.2018 to 17.12.2018. In view of the suspension, he is not permitted to join duty. In the said circumstances, the petitioner has sought for disposal of the appeal expeditiously.

4. Considering the facts, without going to the merits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass suitable orders in the appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the present Writ Petition stands disposed. No costs.
