Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to produce the body and person of Abirami, daughter of Late Kumaresan, aged about 27 years, before this Court and from the custody of the 3rd respondent and set her at liberty.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to produce the body and person of Abirami, daughter of Late Kumaresan, aged about 27 years, before this Court and from the custody of the 3rd respondent and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Abirami, aged about 27 years, went missing from 30.05.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure them. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Peralam Police Station Crime No.686 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered on 02.06.2021 and during the course of investigation, it came to light that the detenue Abirami, aged about 27 years, has eloped with one Bakathsing, third respondent herein.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nannilam Sub-Division, to monitor the investigation in Peralam Police Station Crime No.686 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Abirami, aged about 27 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Nannilam, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
