Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the letter dated 21.12.2023 filed by the 2nd petitioner. O R D E R

The petitioners herein seek a direction to the respondent to consider their representation dated 21.12.2023 seeking inclusion of the names of all legal heirs of the petitioners' father in the patta for the property situated in S.No.107/9 at Kammavarpuram Village, Karigiri, Vellore District.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that the above mentioned property originally belonged to their father and after his death, the names of his legal heirs have not been included in the patta. However, the name of the petitioners' brother's son namely Saravanan alone was included in the patta leaving the names of other legal heirs. Therefore, the petitioners submitted a representation on 21.12.2023 seeking inclusion of the names of all the legal heirs of the petitioners' father and the said representation has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2/4

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 21.12.2023 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after giving opportunity to the petitioners and other interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
