Muruganandham S/o.Uthirapathi, Agani Village, Sirkali Taluk, ..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th Respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders based on petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2026 requesting to survey and to demarcate the boundaries of Petitioner's Agricultural land comprised in Survey Nos.359/1A and 359/1B (Old Survey No.359/1), Situate at Anakkudi Revenue Village, Agani Taluk, Sirkali, Mayiladuthurai District admeasuring an extent of 0.61.50 Ares (1.52 cents) and 0.04.00 Ares (0.05 Cents) respectively, as per the revenue records, with the help of police protection, the 7th Respondent herein, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 4 and 5 to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is

owned by him, based on his online application, dated 29.01.2026, with the assistance of the 7th respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had submitted an application through on-line on 29.01.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same was not considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 6 and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 7th respondent. Since no adverse orders are passed against the 8th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 8th respondent is dispensed with.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections, if any, from the 8th respondent, the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom they deem fit to put on notice, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:-

(a) Before surveying the lands in question, the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to issue notice to the 8th respondent, the neighbouring land owners, and also to any other party, if they deem fit to put on notice. (b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the respondents 4 and 5 shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the respondents 4 and 5, the 7th respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.

(d) There shall be no order as to costs.
