Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2021 for getting appointment on compassionate ground as Office Assistant or last grade servant in the Bus Depot of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation either at Salem or at Namakkal. 2. The Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2021 for giving appointment on compassionate ground as Office Assistant or last grade servant in the Bus Depot of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation either at Salem or at Namakkal.
3. The petitioner's father died on 10.03.2005. The petitioner's mother applied for compassionate appointment on 05.02.2008. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted representations on 02.01.2021 and 03.04.2021 for getting compassionate appointment to his mother. Since the application submitted by petitioner's mother and representations of the petitioner have not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 03.04.2021 for giving appointment on compassionate ground and pass orders on merits within a time stipulated by this Court.
5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, this Court disposes of the Writ Petition with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2021 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
