Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the third respondent herein in Bill Nos.9094010843042001 dated 02.04.2020, 9094010843052001 dated 02.05.2020, 9094010843062002 dated 01.06.2020, 9094010843072001 dated 07.07.2020, and 9094010843082001 dated 04.08.2020 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to issue fresh bills for the period of lock down in terms of Regulation 6 (b) of the TN Electricity Supply Code and adjust the excess sums paid on 06.04.2020, 16.05.2020, 16.06.2020, 10.07.2020 and 10.08.2020 with future bills and further forbear the respondents herein from levying and collecting any sums in excess of Minimum Charges with respect to petitioner's Service Connection No. 099094010843 until the lock down is lifted. ORDER

By consent given by both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The issue that has been raised in the present Writ Petition is covered by the orders passed by this Court in the Batch of Writ Petition Nos.7678 of 2020 etc., dated 14.08.2020.

3. Consequently, the direction given by this Court in the above batch of Writ Petitions will squarely apply to the present Writ Petition also. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed.

No Costs.
