When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the second respondent/defacto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves. They also produced their identity proofs before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Sriperumpudur pertaining to the case in Crime No.766 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the de-facto complainant has also filed a compromise affidavit dated 25.10.2019 stating that he has no objection if the proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumpudur pertaining to the case in Crime No.766 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed.

4.Recording the statements made by the defacto complainant in the affidavit filed by him dated 25.10.2019, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumpudur pertaining to the case in Crime No.766 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
