2. The petitioner claims to be the Head of the organizing committee of Thippichettypalayam Arulmighu Sri Valladathu Amman and Mariamman Koil. For conducting cultural programme for the said Temple, the petitioner submitted an application dated 21.05.2016 to the respondent seeking permission to conduct cultural programme in a grand manner in connection with the temple festival to be held on 25.05.2016. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.P.Murugan Raja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, the learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.In the considered opinion of this Court, as on today, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition since the date on which permission is sought to conduct the culture programme is already over and therefore, it would be suffice to permit the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondent praying for appropriate permission to conduct cultural dance programme in connection with the temple festival well in advance and the respondent, on receipt of the said representation, is directed to consider the same in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of one week thereafter and inform the decision taken to the petitioner.
