O R D E R
On 10.03.2021, this Court, while considering the bail petition filed by one Vinoth in Crime No.14 of 2020, pending on the file of the Central Crime Branch, EDF-I, Team-II, Chennai, has imposed the following condition: "The petitioner, on release, is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) to the credit of Crime No.14 of 2020 before the Metropolitan Magistrate for Exclusive Trial of CCB and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, within fifteen
(15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and deposit the remaining sum of Rs.4,60,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Sixty Thousand only) within a period of six (6) weeks thereafter."
2. The defacto complainant has filed this petition to cancel the said bail stating that the accused Vinoth has not complied with the condition imposed by this Court. It was brought to the notice of this Court that only a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- has been deposited and the remaining sum of Rs.7,60,000/- has not been paid as per the bail condition. This matter is being adjourned from time to time granting time for the accused to comply with the conditions. However, there is no representation on behalf of the accused. Finally, on 08.08.2025, this Court passed the following order:- 2/5
"This matter was listed today under the caption "for reporting compliance".
2. When the matter was taken up on 29.07.2025, the second respondent/accused had agreed to pay a sum of Rs.7,60,000/- to the petitioner on or before 06.08.2025. However, it has now been brought to the notice of this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner/defacto complainant that the accused has not complied with his undertaking. Further, today, there is no representation on behalf of the second respondent/accused.
3. In order to give one more opportunity to the second respondent/accused, post the matter on 18.08.2025 under the same caption."
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, there is no representation for the accused. The counsel for the defacto complainant stated that till date, the condition imposed by this Court has not been complied with, except the payment of Rs.2,00,000/- and the accused also is not co-operating with the investigation. Considering the said fact, the bail granted to the accused/vinoth vide order dated 10.03.2021 is hereby canceled. 3/5
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered. 18.08.2025 ssb Note :
