ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief. The petitioners seek for an early disposal of their appeal, dated 01.02.2024, pending on the file of the 1st respondent.

2. Aggrieved by the order of the 2nd respondent, dated 07.12.2023 the aforesaid appeal, dated 01.02.2024 has been filed by the petitioners before the 1st respondent.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioners' appeal dated 01.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, by adhering to the principles of natural justice. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' appeal.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioners'appeal, dated 01.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by adhering to the principles of natural justice.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
