Manickam (Died) v. The Special Tahsildar

2026-04-07Honourable Mr Justice C.V. Karthikeyan,Honourable Mr.Justice K.Rajasekar2 pages

C.M.P.Nos.8811, 8813 & 8815 of 2026 in A.S.No.341 of 2010 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.

AND K.RAJASEKAR, J.

These petitions have been filed seeking to condone the delay of 69 days in filing petition to set aside abatement, to set aside abatement consequent to the death of the 2nd appellant and to bring on record his legal representatives as appellants 7 to 10 in the appeal.

2.Heard the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.It would only be appropriate that since the issue relates to payment of compensation for the lands acquired that the legal representatives of the claim are also heard before any order is passed. Viewed from that angle, we would allow all these three petitions.

4.The Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment reflecting the death of the 2nd appellant and bring on record his legal representatives as appellants 7 to 10 in A.S.No.341 of 2010.
