Apparaj .. Defendant Civil Suit filed under Order VII Rule 1 of C.P.C. R/w Order IV Rule 1 of O.S.Rules to pass an order of Judgment and Decree granting the following reliefs:- a) Declaring that the publication made by the defendant on 24.05.2017 by wall posters stuck in the shops all over the Chennai city and the statements made in the Public meeting against the plaintiff on 25.05.2017 by the defendant are defamatory against the plaintiff. b) Passing an order of permanent injunction restraining the defendant, his men and agents from making any statement or publication, in any form defamatory against the plaintiff pertaining to the purchase, ownership and possession of the Chinthadripet Fish Market, Chennai and its related activities of the plaintiff and his sons. c) Directing the defendant to pay the plaintiff a sum of Rs.1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore only) as damages for the loss of 1/3

reputation, monetary loss and compensation for mental pain and sufferings undergone by the plaintiff due to the false and defamatory statements made by the defendant;

(d) To pay the cost of the suit; and (e) To pass such further or other orders.

J U D G M E N T

When the suit is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel of the plaintiff seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the suit and has also made an endorsement to that effect in the bundle. Recording the said submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the plaintiff, the present suit is hereby dismissed as withdrawn.
