Respondents Prayer :- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation dated 14.08.2020 and cancel the patta jointly given in the name of the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 8 and direct the respondent to grant fresh individual patta to the petitioner for the properties comprised in S.Nos.78/5A and 5C situated at Vengaikkal Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District.

ORDER
(1)This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 14.08.2020 wherein the petitioner has sought for cancellation of patta jointly issued in the name of the petitioner and respondents 5 to 8 and the petitioner has sought for an individual patta with respect to the subject property.
(2)Mr.Annai Ezhil, learned Government Advocate accepting notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4, submitted that the representation made by the petitioner has been taken on file by the 4th respondent and the enquiry has been fixed on 18.09.2020 at 11.00 a.m. The learned counsel submitted that the petitioner can be present for the enquiry with all necessary documents.
(3)Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the 4th respondent has already taken cognizance of the representation made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to proceed further with the enquiry after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as to respondents 5 to 8 and pass final orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (4)This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
