By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a permanent resident of Oddarpalayam Village, Kolagampatti Post, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District and he submitted a representation dated 21.05.2016 to the respondent praying for appropriate permission to conduct the cultural program, which includes song and dance, in connection with the festival of Sri Mariamman Temple at Oddarpalayam Village, Kolagampatti, scheduled to be held on 01.06.2016. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Prabhakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 21.05.2016 submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, on or before 30.05.2016 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
