By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a member of the festival committee constituted for the purpose of conduct of the temple festival in Arulmighu Sri Veeramakaliamman Koil at Periyathukurichi Village, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District and in this regard, he submitted a representation dated 23.05.2016 to the respondent praying for appropriate permission to conduct the cultural program, which includes song and dance, in connection with the temple festival, scheduled to be held on 30.05.2016. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Y.Deva Arul Prakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 23.05.2016 submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, on or before 29.05.2016 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
