By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a member of the temple festival committee constituted for the purpose of conduct of the temple festival in Sri Throupathiamman Koil at Silambur Village, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District and he submitted a representation dated 21.05.2016 to the respondent praying for appropriate permission to conduct the cultural program, which includes song and dance, in connection with the temple festival, scheduled to be held on 27.05.2016. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Y.Deva Arul Prakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. In the light of the above facts and circumstances and since the date of conducting the cultural program falls on 27.05.2016, this Court, in this writ petition cannot issue any direction. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh representation to the respondent, well in advance for conducting the cultural program in connection with the Temple festival and on receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of one week thereafter and inform the decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
