The petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing the Corporation of Chennai to attest Form 10D and forward to the third respondent for the purpose of sanctioning family pension.
2. When the writ petition came up for hearing on 26.02.2015, I have directed the Chennai Corporation to attest the Form in question and forward it to the third respondent.
3. When the matter is taken up for consideration today, the learned Standing Counsel for the Chennai Corporation produced a copy of the attested Form and submitted that it has already been sent to the third respondent for passing appropriate orders.
4. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the proposal made in Form 10D as expeditiously as possible and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
in any case within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner wanted the Chennai Corporation to pay interest on account of delay. It is open to the petitioner to submit appropriate representation to the first respondent claiming interest. In case any such representation is given, the same shall be considered and disposed by the first respondent on merits and taking into account the period of delay.
