PRAYER : Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying to grant one month leave extension to the lifer Babu @ Unai Babu, son of Yusuf, aged 46 years from 31.08.2020 to 30.09.2020 in H.C.P. No. 1344 of 2020.

(Order of the court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN.J.,) The matter was heard through "Video Conference". 2.This Petition has been filed seeking one month leave extension to the lifer Babu @ Unai Babu, son of Yusuf, aged 46 years from 31.08.2020 to 30.09.2020 in H.C.P. No. 1344 of 2020.

3.Heard Mr.R.Sankara Subbu, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr.R.Prathap Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4.Considering the fact that the convict's son is getting married on 21.09.2020 which was also confirmed by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to grant two weeks leave to the convict. 2/5

5.Accordingly, the convict viz., Babu @ Unai Babu, son of Yusuf, aged 46 years, C.T.No.17147, now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore is directed to be released on 11.09.2020 at 11.00 am with police escort and the convict shall be brought back to prison on 25.09.2020 at 5.00 pm. 6.The Jail Authorities, during the said period, shall provide proper escort to the convict, in order to ensure his safety and security. They shall also impose suitable conditions to that effect and the convict should also abide by the conditions to be imposed by the authorities concerned.

7.Accordingly, this Petition is ordered. Post the matter for reporting compliance on 28.09.2020.
