Govindhammal ..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent, Revenue Divisional officer to dispose of the proceedings pursuant to the 2nd respondent's recommendation dated 21.07.2023 by Cancellation of the TSLR wrongly issued in favour of the 3rd respondent, Govindhammal and rectify the measurement error in the petitioner's TSLR by correcting the extent as 142 Sq.Mt instead of 55 Sq.Mt, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for early disposal of the petitioner's representation seeking for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the 3rd respondent for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition.

2.Based on the petitioner's representation, the 2nd respondent has already recommended the case of the petitioner to the 1st respondent on 21.07.2023. The proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 21.07.2023 has also been placed on record by the petitioner before this Court. No prejudice would be caused to any other party if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to pass final orders after giving due consideration to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 21.07.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation. Since no adverse orders are passed against the 3rd respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on

the petitioner's representation seeking for cancellation of the TSLR, which according to the petitioner has been wrongly issued in favour of the 3rd respondent for the subject property, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and also after giving due consideration to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 21.07.2023, after hearing the objections of the 3rd respondent and any other necessary party whom the 1st respondent deem fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
