PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's Representations dated 05.01.2026 and consequently directing the respondents to take all expeditious steps for demolition of the Buildings, situated in Survey No.275/3B1 measuring to an extent of 5,320 sq. ft. at Vilangadupakkam, Village, Redhills, Puzhal Panchayat Union, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District and to demolish the same so as to safeguard the interests of the public in the locality.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to demolish the building situated in the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition.

2.According to the petitioner, the building is in a dilapidated condition and at any moment, it may fall down and therefore, it is dangerous. The petitioner had given a representation on 05.01.2026 to the respondents requesting them to demolish the building. The petitioner has also placed on

record the Demolition Certificate issued by Class-I Registered Engineer in respect of his contention. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation. No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the necessary parties, which includes the residents of the building which is sought to be demolished. 3.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026, seeking for demolition of the building situated in the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, after hearing the objections of all the residents of the said building and any other third party whom the 4th respondent shall deem fit to enquire, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
