2. The petitioner claims to be the resident of Bathirakanur Village, Mandalanayanakunda Ppost, Kanthali via, Thirupattur Taluk, Vellore District, and he intends to conduct cultural program, which includes song and dance programme in connection with "Shri Mariamman Temple" Festival on 31.05.2016 and in this regard, submitted a representation to the respondent on 20.05.2016 praying for appropriate permission to conduct the cultural program. Since no orders have been passed, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Satheesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.05.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 30.05.2016 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
