ORDER

Today the learned Government Advocate for the respondent, placing on record a copy of the Award No.28/2019 passed by the Special Tahsildar (LA), SIPCOT, Unit-II, Sriperumbudur, stated that as per the order and the direction given by this Court to pass an award after offering the petitioner a fair and effective opportunity to present his case, the respondent has passed the award. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Contempt Petition No.877 of 2019 Besides, the award amount of Rs.31,05,000/- has also been deposited in the Sub Court, Kancheepuram vide SubTreasury Cheque No.273362 dated 10.8.2018 in the name of Thiru.C.K.Shashi Menon and 14 others and LAOP Nos.45/2018 to 59/2018 were assigned and the matters are coming up for hearing on 3.12.2019.

2. In view thereof, if the award amount is insufficient, it is for the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. With this liberty, the contempt petition stands closed.
