Respondent [in both W.Ps.] PRAYER in both W.P.s : Writ Petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to refix the seniority of the petitioner in the cadre of Assistant/Rural Welfare Officer Grade I published in the proceedings bearing ROC No.PA2/22979/2000 dated 28.03.2001 of the respondent herein based on the feeder category seniority list of Junior Assistants/Rural Welfare Officer Grade II published in the proceedings bearing ROC.No.PA3/885/95 dated 26.03.1996 with all consequential benefits such as retrospective promotion, seniority, fixation of pay, etc.

C O M M O N O R D E R Today when these matters are taken up for consideration, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has produced a copy of the proceedings dated 24.06.2016, wherein it is stated that the request of the petitioner in W.P.No.5784 of 2007 has been complied with and necessary proposal for relaxing the service rules under Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service Rules has been sent to the Government as per the Office Letter No.7621/2016/PA3 dated 24.06.2016. 2.In view of the changed circumstances, regarding the proceedings dated 24.06.2016 of the District Collector, Tiruvannamalai sent to the Principal Secretary to Government through the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Saidapet, Chennai, who will pass appropriate orders for the exemption sought for by the petitioner in W.
P.No.5784 of 2007, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as this matter is kept pending from 2007 onwards. This Court also directs the respondent to consider the case of the petitioner in W.P.No.5785 of 2007, who is similarly placed person.
