Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner stated that the respondent-employee has filed a miscellaneous petition in the above writ petition in W.M.P. No.14620 of 2021 to pay the last drawn wages of the employee under Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act.

2. According to the petitioner, the Labour Court has passed an order on 20.03.2019, directing the writ petitioner-management to reinstate the respondent-employee with continuity of service, back wages and all other benefits. The said order is now under challenge in this writ petition and the respondent-employee now seeks the above relief under Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act.

3. In the light of the specific direction and the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to direct the writ petitioner to pay the arrears of the last drawn wages of the respondent-employee from the date of _______ Page 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Asr filing of the writ petition till the month of July, 2022 and thereafter, the writ petitioner/management has to pay the last drawn wages on every month on or before the 10th day of every succeeding English calendar month, without any default. If any default on the part of the writ petitioner-management, the respondent-employee can proceed in accordance with law.
