Heard Mr.K.Karthick Jeganath, learned Additional Advocate General, for the applicants and Mr.Sharath Chandran, learned counsel for the respondent.
2. The learned counsel for the respondent opposes the application on the ground that no sufficient cause is mentioned in the application. In fact, in the contempt proceedings, the present applicants had undertaken to abide by the orders passed by the learned Single Judge. The said aspect has been suppressed in the present application.
3. We have been apprised that there are other appeals also pending on the same issue as is raised in the present appeal.
4. The applicants are not to gain by delay. The reasons have been mentioned for the delay.
5. For the reasons stated in the application, the delay of 158 days in filing the appeal is condoned. The application is allowed.
Place the appeal, after numbering if otherwise in order, on 26.06.2023 for admission.
