ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd Respondent to issue legal heirship Certificate of the petitioner's deceased father P.L.John Augustin in the name of the petitioner and her brother namely King A.Sunilkumar pursuant to the petitioner's application in TN- 7202505221980 dated 22.02.2025.

2. Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is the case the petitioner her father namely P.L.John Augustin died on 24.12.2020 leaving behind the petitioner, her brother namely King A.Sunikumar and her mother Vimala. Subsequently, the petitioner's mother died on 12.06.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner had applied for issuance of legal heirship certificate in respect of his father with the 2nd respondent in the name of the petitioner and her brother namely A.Sunilkumar on 22.02.2025. Despite the petitioner having submitted all the necessary documents along with a self declaration form, till date no orders have been passed on her application. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.02.2025 for issuance of legal heirship certificate and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 5.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the legal heirship certificate would be issued within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to issue legal heirship certificate in the name of the petitioner and her brother namely King A.Sunilkumar in respect of their deceased father on or before 29.04.2026, if they are otherwise eligible.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
