PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus after calling for the records pertaining to the order dated 14.09.2017 in I.A.No.1509 of 2013 and the final award dated 30.11.2017 in I.D.No.51 of 2005 passed by the Additional Labour Court, Coimbatore and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service, backwages and all other attendant benefits and also to confer him permanent status with other benefits as applicable to permanent workmen on par with and as given to other similarly placed workmen who were also appointed like him as Page No.1 of 4

The learned counsel for the petitioner is present. A joint memo of compromise dated 19.06.2024 was filed before this Court to show that the issue raised in this writ petition has been settled before the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court. A report to that extent is submitted by the mediators along with the joint memo of compromise signed by both sides. The respondent management has given a cheque bearing No.265209 for Rs.5,00,000/- drawn on the petitioner A.Manikandan dated 21.06.2024.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner has received the original cheque and acknowledged the same in the Court. The dispute pending in this writ petition has already been settled between the parties as per the memo of compromise filed before this Court and an amount of Page No.2 of 4
Rs.5,00,000/- was paid by way of cheque to the petitioner by the respondent management thereby, this writ petition has become infructuous. 3.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as compromised. The cheque dated 21.06.2024 is made a part of record. No costs. 27.06.2024 vca 2/2 Index :
