A learned Single Judge of this Court, by an order dated 13.02.2024 had granted issuance of Letters of Administration for the petitioner herein with respect to the property and credits of the deceased Nirmala Menon.

2. Now the further formality of executing bond in favour of AR(OS)-II, High Court Madras for a sum of Rs. 25,000/- will have to be done by the petitioner.

3. This application has been filed seeking indulgence of this Court to permit the power of attorney agent of the petitioner to execute the bond on behalf of the petitioner herein.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent is also present and the respondent had not raised any objection for grant of Letters of Administration.

5. In the affidavit filed, the petitioner has put forth the reason of advanced age. It is seen that she is a senior citizen of quite advanced age. It is therefore stated that it would be practically impossible for her to come over to the Court to execute the bond. Specific power had also been granted to her daughter to apply and obtain the Letters of Administration.

6. In view of the same, this petition is allowed. Registry is directed to permit the power of attorney agent, after verifying the identity of the power of attorney agent, to execute the bond and to collect the Letters of Administration.
