Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner based on the proceedings bearing No.E1/2149/09 dated 22.03.2010 and the representation of the petitioner dated 19.11.2016.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner after inviting the attention of this Court to G.O.(Ms).854/2006 dated 30.12.2006 submitted that the benefit under the said Government Order was extended to other similarly situated person in respect of the same T.S.No.4/1, Block No.1, Division No.147, Kazhikundram Village, pursuant to the order passed by this Court in WP Nos.34368 to 34374 of 2016 dated 29.09.2016. Therefore, he submitted that similar benefit may be given to the petitioner, based on the representation dated 19.11.2016.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 19.11.2016 and pass orders on the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, also by taking note of the order passed by this Court in WP Nos.34368 to 34374 of 2016 dated 29.09.2016 if the said order has already become final and conclusive. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
