O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI,J.,) Mr.P.S.Sivashanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

2. The only relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition is a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed on 25th September, 2013, against the grant of patta issued in favour of the sixth respondent.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submits that if the appeal is pending, the same shall be considered and decided within a period of four weeks, in accordance with law and on its own merit.

4. In view of the above, we are not inclined to make any observation on merit. Accordingly, we direct the first respondent to consider the appeal, if it is pending on its file and pass an appropriate order on its own merit, preferably, within a period of four weeks, after issuing notice to the sixth respondent.
