The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to pay the five month's pension arrears along with interest at the rate of 8% per annum for the belated period within a specified time.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner joined the service of the first respondent on 22.05.1982 and has rendered 32 years of unblemished service. It is also his submission that despite the petitioner having retired on 12.03.2014 as a Checking Inspector, the respondents have settled the pension from 01.08.2014, and still 5 months' retirement benefits are yet to be paid by the respondents. It is also the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that in this regard, he has sent a representation on 08.02.2025.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly admit the receipt of the representation dated 08.02.2025. However, objected to the contention made by the petitioner.

Though there is disputed facts between the parties, taking into consideration of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider the representation dated 08.02.2025 on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
