ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register an FIR for the complaint of the petitioner dated 19.04.2016 and proceed the case in accordance with law.
2.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the petitioner.
3. On a reading of the complaint dated 19.04.2016, it is seen that the dispute essentially appears to be civil in nature, inasmuch as the opposite party had borrowed money from the petitioner and issued pronote and cheque, which was bounced. Under such circumstances, in order to give a criminal colour, the petitioner stated that he was threatened, when he was asking money. Hence, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
In view of the above, the criminal original petition is closed.
